Crickets on the Grass

As I sit here outside

I watch the stars

The constellations so wide

I can hear the rushing cars

And in the grass nearby

I hear the cricket's peaceful cheep

So peaceful, I get on the ground and lye

And that beautiful sound is one I'll want to keep

Keep in my heart forever

So I can relax always

When I am troubled I pull that lever

The lever triggers all the different waves

The waves of sound that go away never

But this is not a night to be troubled

It is a night to listen

To the sounds being doubled

And I fall asleep

Only to learn a new nature lesson
